Most of us Chennaites use the local train for our daily commuting to office and for other work purposes. It will be great if we have a handy list that assist us with the train timings from different stations across the city. There is a comprehensive list maintained by the Southern Railways on their site at the below link.

If you hold an Android phone, there are quite some applications that help us you with the train time table interactively. Of those, Chennai Train TimeTable and Chennai TrainDroid are 2 famous free and quite useful applications which you can use to get the recent train timings, most importantly offline. You can download these 2 applications from Google Play.
Chennai Train TimeTable
Routes covered are,
1) Beach - Velachery
2) Beach - Tambaram
3) Beach/Central - Arakkonam
It is completely offline, so it does not require internet connection.
Todo List for this App:
1) Sunday services for all routes
2) Information for travel between routes.
Note:
For Arakkonam route, Beach and Central are available in same list of stations.

Chennai TrainDroid(CTD) is a simple,clean and a handy app for MRTS commuters in Chennai. This app covers all the MRTS train routes across the Chennai city limits.

Select your Route -> Check/Uncheck for Sunday timings ->
Search with From & To stations / Only From stations
