The RMC center Chennai has released a new feature in its official website called NowCast which features the weather forecast for Chennai.

The forecast is updated every three hours and shows information on weather forecast, current temperature, wind speed and direction. See the above figure.
Sources say that the forecast in NowCast applies to Chennai and its adjoining areas spanning over a radius of 50 km. Since the NEM(North East Monsoon) is predicted to start in next one or two days, the NowCast will be a real gift to the people of Chennai.
